Weifield Group Renovation Complete
Denver, CO (January 4, 2024) – Howell Construction recently completed a gorgeous corporate tenant improvement project for our long-time industry partner, Weifield Group Contracting, LLC. The phased interior renovation took place within their occupied, two-story office, enabling the company to remain open and operational throughout construction.
Phase I focused on the upper floor, where the existing space was taken back to shell before upgrades were put in place. The space was configured to accommodate open offices, conference rooms, focus pods, an elevator lobby, break room, bid room, copy/print area, and restrooms. The stairwell was also refreshed with paint and a handrail. Newly installed finishes included carpet in the offices, polished concrete flooring in corridors and common areas, an open ceiling with custom cloud features, and an upgraded mechanical system. The open ceiling was covered in three and a half inches of spray foam and custom ceiling cloud features, some of which included extensive LED backlighting. Finish features include millwork and thin brick on the walls, a custom in-wall fireplace in the elevator lobby, and illuminated whiskey bar glass shelving in one conference room.

Phase II involved coordinating the move of all Weifield staff to the newly finished second floor before demolition work could begin on the first floor. Our phase II scope included installing a new break room, work cafe, and lounge. The added break room and cafe required an upgrade to the sub-floor plumbing system. The first floor was also refreshed with new finishes including polished concrete, spacious furniture, custom millwork, new carpet and LVT, and customized ceilings.
Howell’s team coordinated work around the schedules of the Weifield staff, performing noisy or invasive work after hours. The project was completed within schedule and budget parameters.
