Howell Ski Day Recap
It began in February 1997 with a small group of avid skiers who found happiness in a day on the slopes with friends and colleagues. It became tradition for this small group to meet every year at the base of the Mary Jane ski resort outside Winter Park, CO. Over the years, the group saw their favorite lunch spot on the mountain become too crowded, which sparked the idea of a tailgate. Randy Jackson, Senior Project Manager, was the mastermind behind this beloved tradition, adding “It began as a way to show gratitude to our clients and grew from there.”
What started as a small get together has now grown into a full-fledged industry networking event, attracting between 75-100 skiers/snowboarders annually in the AEC industry. 22 years later, you can still find the group tailgating at the base of Mary Jane in the Utah Junction parking lot. This event is a great way to not only enjoy the benefits of Colorado but also provide an opportunity to connect with coworkers, clients, and industry partners that often times are not just colleagues but close friends.
This year, our team hosted another incredible crowd of skiers/snowboarders with an afternoon of BBQ, drinks, music, and games. Although a bit snowy, it was close to perfect conditions for those who hit the slopes. We hope everyone enjoyed another great Howell Ski Day and thank all of you for helping keep this tradition alive, we truly appreciate your partnership and friendship. Cheers to many more years to come!
