Crossroads Community Church Youth Building Addition Complete
Denver, CO (August 2nd, 2019) – Howell Construction, with design partner Intergroup Architects, recently completed the design-build delivery of the Youth Building Addition to Crossroads Community Church, located at 9900 Twenty Mile Road, Parker, CO. This 20,000 square-foot addition features a multi-purpose room for basketball, volleyball, and dodge-ball; a welcome center; refreshments bar; storage; restrooms; and a youth worship space with a capacity for 400 people. The second-floor mezzanine includes two new conference rooms, two new classrooms, restrooms, and a break room.
The building is structured with bearing masonry walls on a spread footing foundation system. The exterior features stucco, stone, split and ground face block, storefront systems, and overhead glass doors that provide accents for the youth “Garage” theme. Interiors consist of acoustic wall panels, theatrical lighting, state-of-the-art audio/visual systems, and stained concrete floors. Site features include new landscaping, an artificial turf play field, concrete patio and ornamental fencing.
The Youth Building Addition provides a new facility for middle and high school student ministry groups to gather and participate in church-related activities. The new space will also serve as overflow seating for larger services.
“This project was a joy to be a part of from start to finish. The design and construction phases went very smoothly thanks to a very collaborative team. The final product is beautiful and was delivered in time to be fully utilized for Easter weekend services,” said Andy Stewart, vice president – Howell Construction.
