Colorado National Guard – Fort Lupton Readiness Center
Denver, CO (August 7, 2023) – Howell Construction recently completed a renovation and expansion project for the Colorado National Guard – Ft. Lupton Readiness Center. The center is dedicated to training and emergency preparedness and houses the Mountain Division of the Colorado National Guard Infantry.
Our scope included the ground up construction of a vehicle maintenance building, which includes vehicle maintenance bays, lifts, oil interceptors, compressed air, and an exhaust system. In addition, we added space to the Readiness Center with reinforced concrete walls to provide a home for their new weapons vault. The addition also houses new locker space, a fitness room, and general storage. Finally, our scope included renovations to existing locker rooms and showers.
The Fort Lupton campus remained open and operational throughout construction. To accommodate base operations, our team coordinated with the National Guard to minimize the impact of disruptive work. The project was completed within budget and schedule.
