2U Office TI Complete
Denver, CO (October 14, 2020) – Howell Construction recently completed the 45,055 square-foot tenant improvement for 2U, located in downtown Denver. The project consisted of converting two floors of previously office-heavy space into open floor plans with conference rooms, huddle rooms and break areas. Demountable glass fronts were installed to help maintain the “open” feel of the space.
2U strongly believes in employee collaboration, so Howell helped them implement their vision by building out the space in a way that encourages staff collaboration, including a break room which features a custom millwork island and herringbone backsplash over the counter. Employees can reserve the acoustically treated conference and huddle rooms that were built to host video calls with their remote offices or meet on the high-top furniture to talk over a coffee.
Howell also installed all-gender ADA compliant restrooms in the spaces and upgraded the mechanical systems that were outdated on both floors.

Demolishing an office-heavy space and building back the open office format, designed by Gensler & Associates, was a fun update for a great client.
