Pikes Peak State College – Rampart Range Campus Electrical Improvements and Emergency Chiller / Generator Replacements
After several deficiencies were identified in an electrical infrastructure assessment, Pikes Peak State College selected Howell to upgrade and replace critical infrastructure at the Rampart Range Campus, which dated back to the building’s original 1998 construction.
Howell successfully delivered electrical improvements, an emergency generator, and a chiller replacement at the Rampart Range Campus without disrupting ongoing operations. Beginning with the removal of old chiller equipment, Howell installed a new magnetic bearing chiller. The project also extended the emergency power circuits throughout the building to allow for the addition of essential building systems and increased emergency lighting for the campus. Further, the project included the installation of a new, redundant cooling system, including a chiller, pumps, piping, controls, and associated electrical upgrades.
This complex project was successfully delivered with collaborative coordination, proactive planning, and our team’s technical expertise.
