CU Anschutz – Autoclaves & Glass Washers
Howell installed autoclaves and glass washers in three different buildings on the CU Anschutz medical campus in a phased project delivery. Three autoclaves were installed within the School of Pharmacy and our scope included running a steam line to each floor before the autoclave could be installed. Two glass washers and two autoclaves were installed within the Barbara Davis building, where older equipment was replaced and serves the cancer research team. Five glass washers and two autoclaves were installed within the Research 1 South building that are used for medical research and development. These projects were all completed within operational buildings and laboratories, so our team implemented dust control and noise mitigation strategies. In addition, disruptive work and utility tie-ins were scheduled with Anschutz facilities personnel and laboratory staff, ensuring our work did not interrupt the critical ongoing research within each facility.
