DMVA’s CORNG Ribbon cutting ceremony

Denver, CO (August 14, 2024)– On July 26th a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of DMVA’s Colorado Army National Guard Fort Lupton Readiness Center addition and expansion project that houses the Mountain Division of the COARNG Infantry Forward Support Company and is dedicated to training and emergency preparedness. Howell Construction was proud to participate in the celebration and to be recognized for their exceptional services.

The expansion involved the construction of a new vehicle maintenance building complete with bays, lifts, oil interceptors, compressed air, and an exhaust system. Additionally, the project included a new weapons vault, locker space, fitness room, and storage area.

“The unveiling of this state-of-the-art maintenance facility and gym completes the expansion project that India Company and the Infantry Battalion have been anticipating for nearly three years,” U.S. Army Capt. Kayla Koeune, I-Co commander, said. “This multifunctional building enhances unit readiness by ensuring rapid maintenance and repair, amenities to increase Soldier fitness, training and retention, and allows increased integration and streamlined operations with Bravo Company.”

Collin Jacobsen, Howell Project Manager, said, “It was a privilege to work with HB&A Architecture and the Colorado Army National Guard to construct this facility. We extend our sincere thanks to the Guard for all they do and hope this facility serves them well for years to come.”
