National Board of Chiropractic Examiners – New Assessment Center
Howell successfully completed the comprehensive renovation and expansion of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) facility in Greeley, Colorado, transforming and expanding the organization’s existing space into a state-of-the-art Part IV Assessment Center.
As a national non-profit testing corporation dedicated to standardizing the examinations required for chiropractic licensure, NBCE sought a modern, functional environment that would enhance its ability to evaluate hands-on chiropractic competencies. Howell delivered a fully updated, expanded facility that met these goals and strengthened the organization’s nationwide testing network.
The project encompassed a 9,000 SF addition, which tripled the operational capacity of the center and included 6,000 SF of renovation to existing space. Renovations completed by Howell, modernized the interior space to support NBCE’s specialized assessment requirements, incorporating flexible testing rooms, simulated clinical environments, and areas designed for real-life, hands-on chiropractic technique evaluations. The upgrades provided improved circulation, accessibility, and workflow for both candidates and exam administrators.
As part of the expansion, Howell constructed a new parking lot to accommodate increased facility use and enhance the overall site experience. Infrastructure improvements, including upgraded mechanical, electrical, and technological systems, to support assessment precision, examiner efficiency, and long-term operational durability.
Howell’s work provided the organization with a cutting-edge testing environment that reinforces its mission of ensuring competency, consistency, and excellence within the chiropractic profession.
